Forester XT Premium 2.0L Turbo

  • CVT transmission
  • 20,000 miles

Issue starting around 20,000 miles. 2015 Turbo model would misfire and knock under load, usually during uphill acceleration. Subaru sent out recall ecm flash to supposedly remedy the issue. The vehicle does not misfire as much but still shutters under moderate to heavy acceleration. Misfires are terrible on the motor and will cause premature internal wear. Subaru needs to correct the issue. In California, the highest octane available to the general public is 91 octane.
