The contact owns a 2010 Subaru Legacy. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact came to an abrupt stop and the engine stalled without warning. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (brunswick Subaru 2992 center rd, brunswick, oh, 44212) where it was diagnosed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was 136,000. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V326000 (power train). The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
