Basically the car is tip top everywhere else but the shifting. Typically if I go wide open throttle from 1st gear, depress the clutch fully at around 5500 to 6000 RPMs and go to shift into 2nd, it feels like it gets stuck against something and doesn't go fully into gear. It's rather embarrassing since it goes far enough that you felt like it was in gear but it really isn't and of course this causes you to get back on the gas and quickly figure out its in neutral. Anyhow I've actually had it do this at slow speed and low RPM as well. Wallace Subaru in Johnson City drove it and said they couldn't tell but I demonstrated to one of their reps. They took my word for it and are replacing syncros and accompanying parts. At least they're trying to make the problem go away. I hope this is fixable and not just the nature of the 2016 STI shifting as that would be one crappy transmission for a "performance car".
