I made a huge mistake in buying this vehicle. It was nothing but problems and issues from day one. However, the nail in the coffin was completely unexpected. The exhaust system had rusted and rotted out in 2019, couldn’t find the parts to replace it so I had to have Meineke make custom exhaust to replace it. Other areas of the vehicle were rusting out as well but I thought they were purely cosmetic.
Apparently not, because I took it in to get an oil change in October, and the mechanic said he had bad news... he actually brought me back into the garage so I could see for myself. The entire bottom of the vehicle had rusted out so bad that it would have been extremely dangerous to drive even off the garages parking lot. Apparently this was very common for Suzuki’s. NEVER buy a Grand Vitara again! They’re junk.
