Dust cover is gummed up and leaves sticky rubber on fingers. Won't wash off your hands without using a solvent.
Dealer told me the whole switch has to be replaced (part number 8484035010). Cost of replacement switch is $68.40 plus installation.
We paid a lot of dollars for this vehicle and I expected Toyota would have a better quality rubber dust cover for an exterior switch. We currently have two Toyota vehicles and have owned several others prior to these two. Never had issues like this with previous vehicles.
Have some consideration for a good customer. You may need it in the future.
