problem #2

4Runner

I purchase my 4Runner new and the seats have been uncomfortable since day one. I just paid it off and am not sure I would purchase another because of this. To go on a long trip is horrible. I had to buy a seat cushion and that helps a little. A friend of my sisters actually bought a 2016 4Runner and has the same problem.

4Runner SR5 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission

on a long trip the seats cause extreme back pain that there is no solution for. Have tried to adjust the seats many times and use the lumbar support but i cannot get the seats adjusted where it is comfortable on a long trip. I was forced on a 300mile trip to get out several times to walk around and try to ease the pain in my legs and back. I have read on toyota 4runner forums that this is a problem for many people. The car is terrible to drive even on short trips now without back pain as is expect that the seat pad that was not very thick from the beginning is now compressed so it is even harder than it was when new. It is like sitting on a hard park bench. I only have 28000. miles on the car
