buzzing from speakers, door area

My dealer is trying energetically to fix this problem, but I'm not hopeful in light of the other reports on this site. Toyota needs to take this more seriously. I feel like I'm riding in a low-rider, complete with soundtrack. At first I thought and the service staff thought it was just a bad speaker. Car is on warranty, no problem, right? However, the sound usually seems to emanate from the inside door latch assembly, not the speaker some 18" away.

No results yet, but service department is taking this up with Toyota this next week--stay tuned. I'm happy with my dealer, but it's going to take some stepping up from Toyota. Maybe I'll call on President Trump to lean on these companies. After all, Avalon are designed and made in America, and this hilariously overpriced JBL sound system is from an American company, too. Am I going to have to buy foreign just to get a sound system that isn't a constant annoyance? (The foregoing is mostly rhetorical. Our 2010 Expedition has a great sound system and an almost equally-quiet interior, albeit with roughly 4 times the gas consumption.)

Avalon XLE Touring Sport V6

Ever since we bought our Avalon we noticed a buzzing noise when there were lower base tones on the radio. It seemed to mainly come from the drivers side door speaker. We have reported the issue every time we take our car in for regular service and every time they say they either can't detect the problem or try some solution of adding padding which doesn't help. I recently talked to Toyota and opened a case and took the car back to the dealer again specifically to try and fix the issue. Toyota suggested they replace the door panel however basically acknowledging it didn't resolve the issue stating on the repair invoice "compared to 2 other 2015 Avalons and found that they also had some distortion/buzzing but not as pronounced. Some noice from this area is characteristic of these vehicles due to the frequency of the door speaker (sub-woofer)"

Very disappointing that they are essentially admitting to this as a design flaw and really not having any solution. Not at all what I expected from Toyota when purchasing their flagship sedan with premium audio system.

front speakers buzz and are distorted when base is on

I have been a Toyota customer for the past 16 years, this is my second and sorry to say my last Toyota???

I paid extra for the JBL upgraded sound system and the speakers rumble when the base is slightly elevated. Very annoying just ruins the whole experience when listening to the sound system.

Local dealership installed diamat in the doors and tried to fix it, they have heard the same issue with a brand new 2016 sitting on their lot. they worked hard ti fix the problem.

At least they called it a problem, Toyota Corporate could care less, they called it a characteristic of the car and basically said the issue was not repairable. They also heard it in a new 2016 Avalon with JBL sound system. This is their flagship car I paid good money for the car and the upgraded sound system, I was told unless more people complain they will do nothing to repair this issue. This is truly very frustrating, each month as I pay my payment I get more and n more upset, I'm not sure how to handle this issue and wanted others to know Toyota is not the company I once felt they were,
