problem #2

Camry LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

The problem occurred when the car was only two years old. We have it fixed by the dealer and it was within the warranty at that time. Now it happens again: we start start the engine it sounds like a bag of ice with water is poured. One can hear the back and forth of the water with ice. When accelerating or stopping, it sounds horrible. This problem occurred in the later summer and there was no way that ice could have been formed at that temperature. I am not sure what is going on ...

Camry LE 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,600 miles

The problem described above is significant and seems to be getting worse.. Now I'm starting to worry that maybe the A/C will be affected and the repairs could be costly .. I'm wondering if any one has heard of a recall by Toyota .. My next step is to see the dealer, get an analysis of the problem and an estimate for repairs.. If the cost is high and mine I'll be dumping the car and looking at a Hyundai.. (5 year warranty)
