Camry XLE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,360 miles

One day I noticed that the front passenger side door of my car was not locking automaticly from the button or from the remote. I took my car to the dealer. I was told that I needed a new door actuater and seeing as I did not buy the extended warranty It would cost $450.00 to fix. I had them fix it and have not had any further problems scince then. It seems as if on every vehicle the power locks break at some point. Is this a common problem? Has anyone else had this problem with there Camry? If so let me know.

Camry XLE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,981 miles

One day me and another person were coming back from an appointment downtown. I unlocked the door of my car, I got in but the other person said that the door was still locked. I had to open the door manually. A few days later I took the car to the delear. They said that the passenger's side door actuator was faulty and it would cost $450 dollars to fix. I was not happy but I got it fixed. I would have expected a lot better from a company that has such a good reputation like Toyota. I've owned better cars than this. My next car will be a Volkswagen Jetta.
