Camry

  • Automatic transmission
  • 83,000 miles

Check Engine and VSC light came on. Took to dealer & told them about the stiff brake pedal and noise. Almost could not come to a stop at the light. Extremely dangerous. This is the 4th time I have had to deal with VSC light in past 4 years. Three times I have been told it was a faulty gas cap. All were in error. Now the brake booster at 83,000 miles.

Dealership in Phoenix had my car for a day & told me had a vacuum leak at brake booster. Warranty would not cover it, so $1,250 to fix it, on what I feel it could have been an accident. Toyota has been contacted and I hope they make this a recall. They should do the right thing and fix it, or this will be my last Toyota ever. So pissed off...

Camry 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 11,000 miles

brakes failed at a very busy intersection and even after the engine was turned off and the car was put in park the car kept moving and hit a truck in front of me. thank goodness the truck stopped the car otherwise i would have been in the middle of a very busy intersection. i had the car towed to the dealer where i was told there was nothing wrong with the braking system except it was a little low on brake fluid, but not enough to have caused the brake failure. they proceeded to tell me it could've been the floor mats i didn't even have the recalled floor mats in my car.

since no one could tell me what was wrong or if the problem could happen again, i have lost all confidence in the car and traded it in.
