Camry SE 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,300 miles

I bought this 2011 Toyota Camry SE V6 brand new from the dealership. After just a few weeks of owning it, I notice the dash board was popping up. I brought it to an adviser attention but he said, no, it/s normal. I rarely drive this vehicle since I had a GMC Yukon that was my daily drive and this was more of a incase-Yukon-broke-down scenario.

A few months past and as I was driving, all the dash board lights turned on; abs, emergency, traction control, and stability control. The RPM works fine but the MPH stays at 0. Yes, zero. I pulled over, turned the car off and turned it back on- it all stopped and went back to normal. Okay, just a glitch maybe? I started driving it more and wanted to know how much MPG I was getting since I started driving it to work (graveyard shifts) so I reset the MPG display and after that it never worked again.

I brought it back and Toyota said fill it up and reset it, done and doesn't work. Toyota then said drive it for at least 50 miles first. Done and didn't work. Later on after a month of BS, they ordered a new radio/navigation unit for my vehicle. They got the wrong part. So they ordered it again- this time the right part. What was the issue? THE CAR SUPPOSEDLY HAD THE WRONG NAVIGATION PART FROM THE FACTORY. Anyways after all that crap, my lights turned on a few months down the road. This time I video taped it and brought it in- they changed the ECU and said it'll be good from now on. I wouldn't be here if so.

I got the ECU done May 2014 and now April 2015 the lights are on again except this time with the engine light. Again, going zero mph on the freeway at the flow of traffic. Pretty dangerous I bet. Besides all the electrical crap, the build quality is just straight garbage. The passenger seat shakes like hell while driving. The back right passenger seat squeaks like hell. Oh by the way, I have 17,000 miles now. Probably a total of 30 times did I ever have anyone in the backseat and probably 100 times for the front seat. I can't drive my car anymore - lemon law expires at 18,000 miles. Well I absolutely can't wait until the light goes on again after the 2nd attempt I have an appointment for in a few days. Good riddance Toyota. Even the paint is so low quality it got scraped by a stack of paper I had from college. Yes - PAPER.
