The contact stated that the vehicle was also taken to the independent mechanic who confirmed the dealer's diagnostic result. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving at 25-30 MPH. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist and referred the contact to the dealer. A case was opened. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 83,400.

The manufacturer sent a letter stating that they would not cover the expenses since the warranty was expired. The failure mileage was 131,790.
