Camry LX 2.5L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,565 miles

Fortunately, I noticed the brake light come on, and had the manual in the car. The manual wisely advised to drive no farther. I checked this site after getting home and realized the safety issue involved,.. The car could have lost all braking ability.! I called Toyota Roadside Assisstance and within an hour they had a tow truck available which took it to the O'Reagan dealership in Bridgewater, NS. The repair was done within three days, after a priority call for the replacement brake booster. I am pleased with their prompt service. However, if this part is the same as the one it replaced and has the same design flaw or incorrect manufacturing as the original, it may also have the same issue. My wife is leary of driving it. We will both be watching out for another brake light warning, and hope that this BRAKE BOOSTER is built better than the original.

I leased this car by trading in my 2009 Camry because of increasing engine oil consumption and premature water pump failure. I think the 2015 has these issues resolved. The 2015 came with warped rotors which the dealer replaced with no hassle. I'm just wondering what else is going to go wrong and hope it doesn't kill us or someone else. Toyota dependability stopped on the Camry with the 2007 model year!
