A complete failure of front end warning, auto braking and air bag deployment. This car was bought solely due to the safety rating and due to the fact my daughter is a double organ transplant recipient. I now have a daughter with a broken sternum, a bruised kidney and praying not more! I fought like crazy to save this kid from dying due to kidney failure and now this car; one that I thought was so very safe; may well be the cause of her losing her transplant!
She was riding in the passenger seat and they hit a RAV 4 at approximately 65 -70 MPH, HOW DID THE AIR BAGS FAIL?!?!? How did the seat belt allow her far enough forward to hit her sternum?!?
I absolutely guarantee I will see some answers for this and will see this recall broadened!! You will not continue to potentially cost lives to save a damn dollar!
There was not a single warning light, error message or any issue with the car prior to the wreck to indicate any issues and we had complete confidence in Toyota safety PRIOR to this!
This car by VIN is NOT recalled and I am beyond angry that what I thought would protect my daughter was a complete and utter failure! I am now waiting on the ER and awaiting to hear from Transplant team in North Carolina for treatment for my daughter.
TOYOTA - you need to step up immediately and recall these cars and any other models affected! You cannot continue to place dollars over lives!!!
