I have repaired all the safety recalls on my 2004 Toyota Corolla S. However, I just had another warning signal for the seatbelt/airbag today. Since this has been a recall previously, can I have the dealer look at the car and repair again? I wouldn't think the airbags/seatbelt warning would come back so fast after being repaired for the recall. Please advise. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the seat belt frayed along the top of the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified. Due to the vehicle having over 300,000 miles and its age, the contact would have to pay a portion of the repair cost. The failure mileage was approximately 300,010.

Sometimes, driver-side seat belt gets stuck while retracting it from the anchor point. I had to try twice or thrice before the seat belt retract smoothly from the anchor point. It also happens whenever I try to adjust the seat belt after it is fastened to the car seat buckle. Date mentioned in this form is the latest date when I experienced this problem.

Rent a wreck rockville in rockville, Maryland rented me a care with 2 open recalls. It was a fight to get them to pick the car up and refund me - which they still have not fully. The car also has structural problems. Water pours through the roof onto the driver when it rains. It is not dripping; it is pouring water and it is an obstruction to the driver. I have gone back and worth with these people, but they do not care about federal or state law. This car needs to be repossessed and be taken off the roads and this rent a wreck locations needs to be made aware that their business tactics cannot proceed. I have a bunch of documentation from this ordeal. All I want is to make sure rent a wreck rockville does not have this car on the road or similar cars and to get refunded for all of the extra costs they have caused me. This franchised location is part of the larger problem. Also, I have been requesting to speak to someone at their corporate offices, but have been refused that information for over a month. Please follow up with me over this. Thank you in advance. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

I brought my car to Toyota due to a recall (sra, ECU). After Toyota performed work the seat belt audible alarm does not function and is therefore dangerous. Toyota could not find problem after spending six hours. Driving without functioning seat belt alarm is dangerous. I have copies of Toyota dealer work orders. Dealer will not fix problem they caused by installing the recall.. Toyota usa refuses to fix it. I would not ever have a recall by manufactuer done again. Too dangerous. ## VIN passed ## Toyota carolla 2004 ##

My name is [xxx], I am an accident investigator for the city of blue ash oh police dept. On 8/16/16 a 2004 Toyota Corolla rear ended a Dodge Ram van at approx. 65 mph on eastbound interstate 275 at the 48.5 mile post. The investigation shows that all occupants were wearing their seat belts, however the right rear occupant suffered life-threatening injuries to her liver and spleen. The seat belt shows signs of being worn but the retractor did not lock. I think that the shoulder strap portion may not have been worn properly due to the way the seat belt was found cinched up into the clasp (pictures attached.) do you have any feedback regarding the pictures" and, how do I test the retractor to see if it's operating properly or possibly failed at the time of the accident" I buckled the belt in the last few pictures to show it better. Thank you for your time in advance! [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

My car has had a recall that according to Toyota they do not have a solution for. I have been unable to get anyone to travel with me in my car due to the recall notice indicating that the sub-wire harness (filter) and the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electronic control unit (ECU) has not been installed. I don't have the possibility of buying another car and so I feel that my life is in danger as well. On 04-13-15 a new case was opened to resolve this issue (case#1504132776). I later followed up and spoke to sabrina (manager at the Toyota located in West columbia, SC in July 2015. She also said that no remedy has been released yet. I would like to ask for someone to give urgent consideration to my case. I feel that I cant even sell this car because this recall lowers the price of the vehicle and my conscience does not allow to pass on to someone else a danger like this. Will someone please help!

Toyota has failed to remedy the defects within a reasonable time. No indication that it will be remedied any time soon. Please look into why it is taking so long. I have been told that they are working East, South and now pacific coast no mention of the North West (Montana in particular)Toyota headquarters say that the parts are not available.

Seat belts in rear of two Toyota vehicles failed to engage latch. This occurred in both the 2004 Toyota Corolla and the 2004 Toyota 4-runner. This is a safety concern as the passenger is forced to ride unsecured in the vehicle. This also face the driver to violate state law. I find it ironic that the same belt is used on both vehicles and both vehicles have the same problem.
