This is the second time I have had to have the rotors and pads replaced at the same Toyota dealer and the vehicle has 37,000 km. The dealer tried to tell me the rotors and pads were worn out and I have only put approximately 6,000 km since the last replacement.

Replace 3 different sets of rotors and pads for the 1st 80k miles and the vibration is still there, even after replaced a bad brake caliber.

Car was still fairly new, took it back to Jerry's Toyota in Bel Air Md. Three times. Master mechanic says that it was normal for the front brake noise scratchy sound when brake is applied! Nothing they could do! I've owned over 20 cars in my life time never had this problem, it was my first brand new Toyota ever! What is even worse is that the mileage sucks, I'm getting around 20 mpg highway, I've discuss that with the mechanic too! I don't think I'll ever buy Toyota again!

the brake problem occurred after about 3,000 miles or so on the toyota corolal.. i was just leaving my driveway, took a small sharp but not sudden left when i heard that noise.. didn't sound right to me since this was a new car..took it in as soon as i could to to have that examined along with the other problems i had with car and of course they said nothing was wrong...i know if they had of taken the brakes off they might have found the problem... said i had over 75%of my brakes left,,, ok then whats the problem,, can we trouble shoot this,,, they never did or they would have found the problem...sometimes sound like the metal is going snap, the grinding get so bad sometimes its scary... i've had it in about 5 times now for the brakes...they won't fix them,,,not sure where they get these mechanics but they don't know much....so here i am with a car that now has 29000 miles on,, bad brake system or something,,, weird noises in the engine,, they tell me thats normal,,, really! had 4 flats on the same tire...and bad chipping on the paint since day one...sad they do this to us... but they can and we get stuck with the junk and still have to make the payments.. so whats the difference between buying a new car with big payments for 6 years,having tons of car problems and a used car without payments and car problems? what good does the warranty do you when they don't want to fix your car.............then your warranty's up... payments continue then you get to pay for the problems that were there from the beginning... this is a vicious cycle......does anyone really care enough to do something about it? will these complaints accomplish anything? i still have a 2010 toyota corolla with lots of unsolved problems and 6 years of payments with warranty about to expire on most parts... hum

They said I had a rust ridge, and turning the rotors would correct it. Nope. At a later visit, I mentioned it again because it STILL happens; the dealership says it is the anti-lock brakes adjusting themselves. That is one loud, binding noise I hear/feel on a regular basis! On last visit @ 22Kk Mi, I was told brake pads are still @ 70%... I'm due for another oil change soon and I'll mention it again, lets see what they tell me this time...

Sounds like we're having the same problem as others in this post. I thought the rotors were bad but the dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Nothing shows up on the computer and it isn't constant. The dealer did say, and if you read the owners manual, that the brakes adjust to the road conditions so I'm not sure if this is what we're hearing. We drove to Vegas when it was over 110 degrees and the noise was constant. Since returning we have not had another problem?

Brake rotors make annoying sound after 20,000 miles . Braking on a rough road bring worst noise . I have this problem repeatedly despite Dar cars Toyota fix it and i believe this comes from a manufacturer problem and not of driving habits. I drove a number of cars in my life and the only time i have a break change is only when the pads are gone . but on this car the rotor blades need to be cut per the Toyota technicians and change pads to have a permanent solution. Safety is very important and their designers need to check on this vehicle to avoid cutting the blades to fix the noise problem.

Grinding, vibrating and a loud noise. That's what I get upon braking. Doesn't happen all the time so Toyota can't find the problem. Very scary sound when it does occur.

I have 4 time brake problem in one year. Toyota can not fix it. they changed new brake 2 time and still same problem.I want lawyer can help me because they want me pay for new brake so under warranty. now serious brake noise.before I go back dealer I want some one ,middle person to know what the deal do.all the time they try to give me a wrong person even Toyota cop. I think Toyota has a bigger issue than they're admitting.There is a grinding sound from the front brakes. They should rethink their strategy when it comes to customer service, and take care of all brakes problems. A car with 20000 miles should not have any brake problem. I have to replace the pads and rotors.

I purchased my 2010 Toyota Corolla S back in July 2015, and ever since then has the worst brake issues possible. I had taken my car back to the dealer over 5 times to diagnose and resolve this issue...and still I hear a noise coming from the front brakes. I had my brakes, rotors, and pads replaced twice costing me around $600. The noise was a screeching noise coming from the front, and after having the brakes fixed...the noise still is clear. The dealership and the mechanic that I trust have no idea what the problem is, it is very frustrating to me to have this possibly dangerous type of brake issue that no one seems to know how to fix. I have owned this car 7 months now and am almost afraid to drive it at times because of the severity of the noise.
