1ST REPAIR TOOK IT TO THE CAR DEALER ON 1/26/17. REPAIR ORDER COMMENTS: CODE FOR LOOSE GAS CAP TECHNICIAN MADE SURE IT WAS TIGHT AND RESET LIGHT

1/26/17--2ND REPAIR TRY SAME DAY AS SOON AS I DROVE OUT OF THE DEALER ENGINE CHECK LIGHT WENT BACK ON. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER REPAIR ORDER READS: TECH FOUND FAULTY AIR FLOW METER THEY CLEAN IT THE NEXT DAY ENGINE LIGHT BACK ON

1/28/17 3RD REPAIR TRY: REPAIR ORDER COMMENTS: TECH REPLACED AIR FLOW METER RESET CODE.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BACK ON 1/30/17. I RAN MY CODE READER AND IT SHOWS CODE: P0171.

AT THIS POINT I THINK THE TECHS AT TOYOTA ARE JUST GUESSING OF WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM.

I HAVE TO BRING IT BACK TO THE DEALER ON 2/3/17 THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP THE CAR AND GIVE ME A LOANER.

PS I'M NOT A MECHANIC BUT I SUSPECT THE 02 SENSOR IS BAD. .

Update from Feb 15, 2017: TOYOTA DEALER FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. IT WAS THE PURGE VALVE TOYOTA PART NUMBER 90910-12283. THIS WAS CAUSING CODE P0455, P0441 & P0171, BECAUSE OF THE BAD PURGE VALVE, THE 02 SENSOR DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD READING THEREFORE CAUSING THE SYSTEM TOO LEAN BANK 1 CODE. NOT CHEAP AT THE DEALER AND TOYOTA SERVICE AGREEMENT GOLD DOESN'T COVER THAT PART. PURGE VALVE COST ABOUT $85.00. LABOR WAS ANOTHER $200.00.

check engine light

Trac off and check engine light were on. After 2nd visit to Service Center for same problem, was told the Code indicated fuel/air imbalance, that service bulletin issued by Toyota and replacement of the cylinder head and four valves was necessary. They say it's fixed and as good as new, and that this didn't affect the value of the car. I bought the 2014 Toyota Eco Plus in September 2013, and I'm guessing it was among the first off the assembly line. Was informed by service manager this was probably a milling issue during manufacture. Toyota would not give me a free extended warranty on the drive train, when I requested it, due to the length of time left on the standard warranty and the problem is "fixed."
