Corolla LE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

I bought this car new, and started having transmission problems November 2016, and the problem got worse. My daughter was driving this car on the road when the transmission could not get on the gear and she almost had an accident. I took it to the dealer and they said transmission is warrantied up to 60000 miles only and it will not cover replacing the transmission and solenoid total cost $7509. This is atrocious and a highway robbery.

When you shift it into Reverse or Drive it will just say its in park. What you do is call Toyota Care ASAP so they can send a tow truck and they'll tow your car back to the dealership you bought it from. Usually a bolt is missing, so it takes a day for them to order and put it back in. Def ruined our day.

Corolla S 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission

I think it sucks that brand new car does what dealers says is normal. I told him he is crazy, I got one of the lemons. Trans should switch to gear, not rev up and don't go.
