Corolla

This is the second Corolla where my brakes failed =. First one I crashed into someone but luckily no one got hurt but I totaled my car. Toyota investigated and said nothing could be found wrong. I know the difference between the break and gas peddles. This time I had 3 other people in the car as witnesses. I threw my car in park because there is no emergency break in this car and it kept going for a little distance before I was able to steer it towards a curb where it finally stopped. When the tow truck driver came to pick the car up at my house where I had it towed, he said I had brakes.

I had it towed to the dealer where they are evaluating it now but as before, I expect them to say they found nothing wrong. Now if I get this car back with no results, I'm scared to drive it as it could happen again. If it was a fluke, what's stopping this from happening again only next time I may not be so lucky.

Toyota does have a brake problem with their cars

Update from Mar 7, 2023 Just to update my complaint. The car IS at the dealers being looked at.

Update from Mar 9, 2023 Dealer called and said nothing could be found wrong with my car. Had to drive with a mechanic on the highway showing me the car brakes worked ok. I felt like a crash dummy waiting for something to happen. Brakes were working. Must admit everyone at the dealership understood my concerns but did what was protocol by Toyota.

Guess I'll just pray every time I use the car that my brakes don't fail me again and nothing is found wrong if I live to bring it in again.

THE END
