FJ Cruiser

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I took my vehicle in religiously for maintenance to my local Toyota dealership. When they aledgedly rotated the tires they NEVER mentioned to me about the wear and tear that was not visible.

problem #1

FJ Cruiser TR Special Edition V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

I bought this vehicle new and the warranty included among other things in this particular package and extended warranty for the original tires to 6 years and/or 100.000 miles. Keep in mind this is by Toyota and not an extended package. It was listed on the window sticker so I had no choice as it came with the vehicle. I paid a bit over $2,500. for the package. Now I have 69,000 miles on the vehicle and two of the tires are about gone. I have been to two dealers, one twice with the warranty information and I have been laughed at, ignored and told that I should know tires don't last that long. I didn't say they did, Toyota did and I have written documentation. If you care to go to Toyota forum discussing this issue you will find many more like me. I was told yesterday to go back to the dealer that sold it to me. I intend to try this and if no satisfaction here, I will buy my own tires and any vehicle other than a Toyota next time.
