FJ Cruiser 4.0L

I bought my vehicle New August 2012 and had trouble free motoring up until recently August 2013 where a strange steering wheel shaking fault appeared around the 95Km up to 110Km speed range in which I initially I thought was a simple wheel balance issue.

After sending my vehicle in for a front balance I still have the same issue, no better, no worse. After some research online I came across a forum with a vast number of complaints about an identical problem from there Fj Cruisers owners which suggests this is not just a simple balance issue.

I contacted my local Toyota dealer in Karratha expressing my concerns and the car was booked in to be assessed. Two days later with absolutely no feedback from there technicians they eventually relayed a message via one of their delivery girls saying they do acknowledge the issue and had the same problem with a second tests FJ Cruiser they acquired for comparison and said this must be normal condition.

To be honest this has to be complete rubbish

1)The car was fine when purchased 2) I’m sure Toyota wouldn’t supply vehicles to market with such a defect from new car. 3) And what about the online complaints with identical issues.

I feel extremely disappointment with the lack of effort and professionalism from Toyota. In future I would seriously consider switching to a different company with a reputable service history.
