Late May 2015 I heard a pop when I moved my visor to get the sun out of my eyes. Afterward, I noticed that the driver side visor would not stay completely up. This drove my husband nuts every time he drove the Highlander because he is taller and usually wears a cap and the visor always hits the bill and just having it hang down, drove my husband crazy.

In mid May I took my Highlander to the dealership to have them fix our visor, they said they would have to order it. A month goes by and I don't hear from them, so I called to inquire when were they estimating the visor to come in, they said possibly at the end of June. Needless to say I had to continually check to see if it had come in and it was still on back order.

Luckily the last time I called 7/1/15, a supervisor overheard the partsman I was talking to and he had recalled something about problems with the visors in the Highlander. I was told that there are over 2000 other people waiting for visors too and the manufacturers who made these visors , are not making them, so Toyota had to find someone else to make them, Long story short, I am covered for the replacement of the visor (saving us at least $300) as long as my mileage is under 30,000, which mine is at 19,400.

They say it should be in tomorrow or the next day. I'll keep you posted.
