Experienced a whining noise from the rear differential. Diagnosed by the dealership as TSB #00207 -- ABNORMAL NOISE FROM REAR DIFFERENTIAL. *KB (NHTSA ID #10022730, AUGUST 23 2007). This vehicle was purchased in 2002 when first released so conveniently, the TSB was issued once the car was outside of warranty coverage. Requested financial assistance from dealership and Toyota Canada which was declined. This car has always been serviced according to schedule. The car is essentially worthless already since the repair costs as much it's value. ($3500 CDN plus taxes). Very disappointed as I purchased a Toyota for their reputation for quality. I will never purchase from Toyota again.

just out of warranty, Toyota will not go good even though the car has been serviced by Toyota since we purchased it new, This is a 4 wheel drive vehicle, the rear differential needs to be changed with a cost of about $2000 with new parts.

Previously had a brake caliper failure with a cost of about $600 to repair

Also had a transmission seal leak with a cost of about $300 to repair
