The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Prius. While driving 10 mph the electronic gear shift automatically shifts into neutral gear and then into reverse and he had shift into drive. He stated that occasionally he did not notice that the gear shifted into reverse until he was backing into another vehicle. The dealer made two attempts to duplicate the failure; however, the failure could not be duplicated since the failure occurred intermittently. The failure mileage was not available.
