Prius v TWO 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

Was getting appx 40 - 42 mpg from brand new - 2013 to 2015 or appx 75,000 Miles or so....Then brought the car in for a recall / software update in 2015 and after that visit, I am lucky to get 35 - 36 mpg. As usual, dealer

says software update has nothing to do with the drop of mpg. Yes I replaced OEM tires with all season Pirelli

when the OEM got old but I do not think mpg will drop off by this much - 5 to 6 mpg just because of the tires.

Same size, same rim. Dealer said maybe after 1,000 miles or so and mpg will improve once the tires got used more. This tire has now appx 60,000 miles on it and my mpg has not gotten better. Added Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner, always on Eco mode and drives it very gently or pretty much same driving behavior as when it was

purchased brand new....about the same route, etc.
