Last night, drove home, parked the car in the driveway, shut the engine off, tried to take the key out of contact, no luck. Tried to jiggle key, restart engine, no dice, even though board lights and radio turned on. Unplugged battery, I was able to extract key from ignition. Plugged the battery back on, tried the other car key, same result: engine won't start, key stuck in the ignition without any possibility of getting it out of there. Repeated my trick with disconnecting the battery, I was able to retrieve the key from ignition. Net result: a dead car in the driveway.

Any ideas?
