RAV4 LE

Navigation, radio and screen started occasionally rebooting. I brought it into Toyota to service, the display screen wasn't doing it at that time so the tech could not see for themselves what was wrong and could not diagnose or fix. Said to bring it back in when it was doing it.

I brought it back maybe 3 months later when it was stuck on a perpetual state of update/reboot. The screen shows its updating and then goes black and then starts all over again. None of the Nav buttons work on the Nav screen, on the sideboard, or on the steering wheel. The backup camera still works. NO radio, NO CD player, NO GPS, Nothing works other than the backup camera.

When I brought it in to Toyota again they said they could not repair it because NOW they don't have any response from the system and no buttons work. So the only option is to replace it for $4,000 just for the part. That doesn't even include labor.

I've heard this has been a huge issue with multiple other Toyota Rav4's but there isn't a recall out at all because it doesn't prove to be a "safety issue".

I've tried all the online suggestions to fix it, changing the fuse, unplugging it from the system, pressing down the power button while you start or turn off the car, pressing and holding a number of combinations. Nothing works.
