I discovered a soaked carpet and water dripping from underneath the dashboard after a moderate rain. I searched for an obvious leak but could not find it. I discovered that Toyota has been dealing with roof rail leaks that seep into the A pillar and follow the wiring into the cabin. The problem is the leak can ruin the airbags with mold as well as corrode the wiring harness, causing significant damage. As a customer, the dealer will not tell you about the TSB or fix. It is under TSB 22TE05 which also extends the leak warranty for 10 years.
