Tacoma PreRunner SR5 V6

I was pulling into my driveway from the back alley access, so my foot was on the brake, no question, as the alley is narrow and my driveway is very short. As I turned into the driveway with the intention of pulling into the garage, I simultaneously heard a squeal and felt the 2006 Toyota Tacoma quickly accelerate. I pushed hard on the brakes but kept flying forward, it happened very fast yet was like slow motion at the same time as I anticipated I would either hit the brick wall on the left side, or possibly hit the other car that was in the garage already on the right side or thinking I might just fly right in and hit the wall ahead of me. I reached down and crammed the car into park and shut the ignition off. This is the first time this has occurred, although I will say my mother actually accelerated through her garage door and through the back wall of the garage years ago in her RAV4 prior to any recall ever happened with Toyota. Fortunately,, I have a second vehicle, so I will not drive this Tacoma again. Had I been in a parking lot, I could have killed someone. I do remember years ago receiving a recall for my floor mats. Having bought the truck used, I never addressed the floor mat issue as it did not have flor mats when I bought it and my floor mats were bought at a typical auto store.
