Tacoma V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,700 miles

I just went through arbitration with the Toyota dealer and an arbitrator(on my 2009 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab 4x4) and they screwed me to death!. I have high levels of wind noise in the access cab, especially on a windy day, and Toyota engineers admitted they have a design problem with the cab, but, they refuse to do anything about it. Also the radio goes off by itself and they are trying to get out of fixing that too. I would not recommend buying any Toyota products because of poor quality and poor service!!!

while driving down a highway, the sound of outside wind is coming into the back cab. I have taken it twice now. The first time they replaced the molding around the two back doors of the cab. This did not solve the problem. Today I took it back in and the mechanic said it must be a design defect. His opinion was that the rear of both doors in the back seats are allowing the noise to come into the rear area via the three or four inch gap between the bed of the truck and the rear of the cab. Again a design defect. He also said that there is no way to seal off that area because it would interfere with the rear doors opening up.
