Had this SAME problem in May of this year. Climbed into truck a week ago and found 1/2" of water in cup holders and coin tray. Steady stream of water ran down from roof for 13 minutes on 20 minute ride home. In May the dealership had the truck for 3 days and claimed to have fixed the leak. Not so much. Dealership has had my truck for over a week at this point, have had 1 phone call from them in that time....they say try as they might they cannot find where water is entering. I am very concerned about: mold, mildew, fungus, ruined electronics, rust, etc etc. Carpet was wet, both front seats wet, who knows how wet it is under the console where the sitting water was, who knows what it looks like on top side of roof lining, what rust/black mold is growing up there already? How much water is still trapped over my head in roof lining as I drive down the street....?

water leaks in the roof of the cab each time it rains and when you wash it. soaks the drivers seat, runns down in gear shift and will probably short out the temperature gauge and rear view mirror camera. it is at dealers right now but because it has more than 36000 miles and is still only a 2009 they want me to pay to fix what clearly has to be a defect.this truck was bought brand new. regardless of the miles the truck is a 2009 not a 1980 and should not have this problem.

Update from Jun 27, 2010: The dealership spoke with Toyota about the water leak and Toyota paid part of the cost to fix it. However I do not know the total cost they gave me a bill for $36 never would say how much Toyota paid so I don't know the total. The water Dr. was called in to fix it and said the seam on the drivers side [ that has a rubber strip over it ] was leaking. They supposedly have sealed it and this should fix the problem. So far it has rained twice and I've washed it with no leaks .
