oil leak from engine

I recently noticed a slow accumulation of drips on my garage floor coming from my 2011 Tacoma. I crawled under and took the attached picture. The leak is between the engine block and oil pan. This shouldn't happen on a 5 yr old Toyota with only 25K miles. My Highlander is 12 years old with over 100K and has never leaked a drop. This started shortly after I changed the oil and filter which shouldn't cause this leak but the timing is suspicious. Per the owner's manual I used 0W-20 oil. The only 0W-20 available at my local auto parts supply was synthetic. Curiously, the label on the oil filler cap recommends 5W-30.

So it looks like I need to drain the oil, remove the oil pan, clean off the seal surface and reapply the Toyota sealant I purchased @ $22 a tube (no gasket) and put it all back together. This shouldn't be necessary.
