To be fair, I have not yet contacted the dealer, but based on other poster's similar problems, I am very much concerned. I only registered and posted here to let others know this is apparently not an isolated case.

Update from Jan 10, 2012: Added commentary 1/10/12:

The dealer found that one of the five servos (12V motor) in the air mixture box had gone bad. He ordered the part ($200), and installed it ($400 labor). It promptly fried the ECU (amplifier). The dealer said the new ECU was $600. I told him the cost for this problem was quickly spiraling out of control, and that I'd bought a TOYOTA, not a lower-quality domestic. After some back and forth with the managers, they agreed to replace the ECU at no charge. Final out-the-door cost for the repair, $670 (incl. taxes). The dealer did remark that the servo and ECU are not user-accessible or serviceable - and that their failures were not due to anything I may have done with the truck. In other words, the parts just failed on their own... At four years old. Does not instill a lot of confidence.

The entire repair time, including waiting for multiple parts to arrive, was about a week.
