Tundra Crewmax TRD 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,781 miles

My transmission failed after 18000 miles. I took it in for service and Toyota informed me that they WILL NOT HONOR the warranty because they "feel" my truck was abused off roading threw mud. My transmission failed days after off roading , I was accused of many reasons of the failure, from trying to rock the vehicle out to the transmission had too much mud on it and it couldnt cool itself. Final decision from Toyota was that I did "extreme" off roading and Toyota will not warranty ! I was also told the TRD 4x4 line of vehicles ARE NOT MADE TO GO OFF ROAD. This warranty rep for Toyota black listed me from EVERY Toyota dealership . I can't even get my free oil changes now. Took it to a transmission shop, had to hire an attorney, and pay $5500 out of pocket. The only info I can give is this, transmission shop found the reason of my transmission failure and I assure you it HAS NOTHING to do with off roading ,mudding, towing or whatever excuses Toyota wants to dish out ! Currently awaiting arbitration

Tundra Double Cab 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 650 miles

i could not believe that toyota put a rebuilt transmission in my brand new truck. they said they had no new trans. for my truck but that is not true because they have an assembly plant in texas with many of them. what a lousy way to treat a customer. this is not over yet.
