OK VW you need to fix the air flow issue under the hood. I just purchased the CC 2009 and ran like a charm changed plugs and oil which other individual looked like he never changed the plugs but gas mileage went up 23%.

Issue all started when I was driving along on a hot day, no issues, ac working perfect cold as heck. But then temp hit 91 degrees and I stopped at a light the went to go and car just stalled out right in the middle of intersection. So put in park and restarted car and started right up and went driving no issues for about 4 minutes then same issue and did same thing, started right back up.

Made it home and was pissed thinking I'm out 14k. So I started looking online and found that it seems that thousands of people are having the same issue. I have seen people spend up to 12k trying to fix the same issue. So I called my friend who came over with his shop computer and ran some tests, got codes for fuel system on all of them so we popped hood and took a look We noticed that all of those parts were new so someone before had the same issue and tried to fix it.

So now it was 88 outside and we started the car and were gonna let it run till it died (stalled) again. But remarkably after a case of beer and a half tank of gas (no we were not driving just sitting waiting) but 1/4 tank of gas nothing happened. So we were both scratching our ass (head) going what the heck is going on. So next day was gonna be 95 degrees outside and was driving around and hit 91 degrees exactly and it happened again. That is when it dawned on me the outside conditions are affecting the car's performance. It stalled 7 times before getting back to my house (got a police escort what fun explaining that one and not that I'm just plain dumb)

So yes another case of beer but only made it through a six pack before it dawned to take cover off relay/fuse box and leave hood just open on safety latch. Guess what, car ran and did not stall, die or have any issue. No new gas or anything.

There is an issue with overheating under hood and VW should figure it out. Maybe changing fan blade angles so it gets more air or something but if someone knows if there is a fix or if I have to just drive around with my hood on safety latch when its hot, let me know. But this should be a recall. It seems there are lots of people without beer and time to play with their car and are spending thousands of dollars.
