I put the car in reverse and the car drove forward. It has also acted as though it is in neutral while in reverse. Every time this occurs the dash transmission light blinks. At times it stutters when accelerating from a stop and makes clicking noises when stopped. There is approximately 80K miles on the transmission, all services have been done and has not been in any accidents. There are no recalls for this problem.

Went into parking lot and cranked vehicle and selected reverse. The vehicle would not reverse. Shut vehicle off, started again, and pushed accelerator harder. The vehicle moved, but would only accelerate to about 30-40 mph. Drove car to the dealership where I purchased it. They stated that the vehicle was in safe mode. All of the drive modes were blinking. Dealer did a diagnostic test on the Cc. The end result was that the transmission had failed. The Cc only has 99,500 miles on it.

Driving on the highway in morning rush-hour traffic, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to 2nd gear and the gear indicator began blinking. This caused rapid deceleration from highway speed down to 30-40 mph. I was fortunately able to maneuver away from traffic. Dealer diagnosed leaking rear main seal, bad PCV valve and a catastrophic mechanical failure of the transmission.

2011 VW sport Cc - less than 52,000 miles. Stalls while driving on the interstate. Dealer advised timing chain issues and while repairing the engine they had to replace unreliable parts. Known issue but none under recall. They said a screen shattered in the engine, a known issue is what caused all of this. All manufacturing error. Customer care admitted that and so did the dealer service department. Quote $1400. Then the next day they "discovered" the car needed a new cam shaft. New quote $2200. Nothing under warranty/recall. VW customer care told me to save my receipts incase a recall comes about but did not care about the safety of the car or the fact they are replacing unreliable parts. If they know they are unreliable why are they not on recall. Wrote a letter to the CEO and got the cost reduced to $1400. Receipt shows one price no break down of costs and was told I could not have the parts back, even though I just paid $1400 for them. I have no idea what was under warranty or recall or was it all labor cost. VW does not care about their customers. And by the way the air bag is still not repaired, that is under recall. Safety in VW - zero.
