Noticed burning oil at 76k miles. Dealer played games until 99k, then did lousy job with a 'rebuild' that lasted until 140k, had to replace entire engine costing me $3,000. Should have sold the car long ago.

using 10w40 oil yields a great improvement in oil consumption. The drawback is you will have to change it yourself as most oil change shops dont offer this weight oil.
