Jetta Tdi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Just made the car look old and like junk. I removed the covering from the other buttons to make it at least be the same.

Jetta TDI Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,000 miles

I talked to VW when these issues happened, They said car was out of warranty. I will never buy another VW because of all the issues on this piece of junk. I have had most of problems outlined in the complaints on 2006 Jetta TDI. I made sure I complied with all required maintenance so I would not have any problems, but the car just falls apart. Headliner fell down 3 1/2 yrs, black on buttons came off 2 yrs, driver's door wiring broke 4 yrs, EGR light on 3 yrs, and 5 yrs, flywheel last yr, steering is starting to peel started in yr 5, replaced both front axles 2 yrs ago, front wheel bearings last yr, timing belt 2 times 80,000, 160,000. I consider this normal maintenance, AC doesn't work well last 2 yrs. Have had checked, no solution. Belt tensioner yr 5 and 8, cleaned soot from lines yr 2, 5, 8, replaced gas cap that broke 2 yrs ago, electric fans replaced yr. 5.

I could go on, But I think you get the idea.

Jetta GLI 2.0L V6 Turbo

  • Manual transmission
  • 120,000 miles

The mirror control button on the driver door has all the top-layer peeled off. Most of the button is just white. It's not a big problem since it's pretty obvious which direction to push the button to move the mirrors.

Jetta 2.5L

  • Manual transmission

You can't see the radio/cd controls anymore. Same goes for the window controls. They might as well have used stickers.
