I had to replace the tires on my 2008 VW Jetta after only 22,000 miles because VW obviously puts the cheapest pieces of rubber they can find on their vehicles and to heck with their customers. After getting the tires replaced, two of the hubcaps just flew off for no good reason. I don't even remember hitting a bump that would have caused them to dislodge. Now, it can be said that the technicians who had replaced the tires had not installed them tightly enough, but one would think that these people know what they're doing. And the problem reoccurred two more times since that incident. So, what is it? The hubcaps are purposely designed by VW so that they cannot be properly reinstalled and the customer has to fork over more money to replace them (at a cost of $75.00 a pop). Nice customer service, VW!!
