I was driving my car went around the corner and the car cut off. Started it back up, it sounded crazy. Drove it home and took it to the dealership. They said it was the high and low pressure fuel pumps and intake manifold, valves needed to be cleaned cost $2900.00. Took my car home. it cut off and wouldn't start, had to get it towed. Then I got the parts and towed it back to dealership. They wanted to charge me $1300 to fix. Mind you, I brought my own parts smh. Two hours later was called and they said my engine was gone $6000.00 to fix. Two shops later, I'm getting an engine mechanic said the car was misdiagnosed it was the tensioner that caused the chain to break and then the valves and pistons were broke off in the engine. It should have been a recall on this or they should be fixing this problem. My car has only been fixed at the dealership. I feel it's such a injustice to the owners of these vehicles. Volkswagen needs to make it right.

While driving, has happened twice now, car just shuts off with no warning. Battery light comes on. Took to mechanic, checked codes got cam code. Cleared code but happened again. Both times it has happened a day or so before I could hear a faint beeping sound upon starting. Car shut off while driving up hill and on the flat. Thankfully it started right back up both times. Of course out of warranty. Any ideas suggestions would be nice .

After the car being park for few minutes, my wife started driving and while exiting the kids' school the car suddenly stopped in the middle of an intersection. She completely freaked out thinking a car might hit her at any time. She got the kids out of the car to wait in the school, then she try to start the car and it worked. It was the second time this happened to her. She took the car to the VW dealer and they couldn't explain the issue. We refused to take the car back unless the dealer can explain what happened and guarantee this won't happen again. The engine suddenly stopped working in the middle of the road. After 4 days we are still waiting for the dealer to contact us. We are also looking for another, more reliable car, we can't put the life of us at risk. If the car gets stalled again, maybe a car or truck will hit us and you never know..

We turned around in a gravel parking lot to and while making a tight turn, my car died. It started up again without problem, but have no idea why is randomly died. Had just gotten my filter and oil changed and the car looked over a week prior to this occurring.
