The contact owns a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the key was stuck in the ignition and failed to release or turn backwards. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ourisman Volkswagen of rockville (801 rockville pike, rockville, md 20852, (301) 637-8344) where it was diagnosed that the ignition cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not covered under the warranty. The failure mileage was 18,000. The VIN was not available.
