Jetta SE 1.4L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

On family vacation and the car started to jolt and hesitate on I-80 in western Iowa. Managed to get a hold of Baxter VW in Omaha and limped the car into the dealership. They confirmed I had a failing fuel pump. They ordered a new fuel pump and installed it - the entire repair took a couple of business days. Not great for a car with 10000~ miles and only owned for a month at the time...

Jetta 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,000 miles

Fuel pump died in our new (4 months old) Jetta while on the road, 300 miles from home. VW did fix the problem (after a week of diagnosis/repair), but we had to drive the 300 miles again to pick up the car. VW has not been very helpful. I expected much better from a new car.
