The contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked with the engine running to warm up the vehicle, the front windshield started to crack in the center of the glass extending to the driver's side of the windshield. The vehicle was taken to brooklyn Volkswagen service center (599 E 56th St, brooklyn, NY 11203) who diagnosed the failure stating it was because of outside source. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,700.
