Starting in December we noticed the carpet of the front passenger seat was wet. It turns out the drains of the beautiful sunroof can get clogged and result in this kind of leak. A few weeks later, same problem except this time the leak is in the back of the car and both the front passenger side and right passenger floors are wet.

It appears fixing this might involve removing the entire headliner and changing the cassette that holds the drainage system as it might be cracked. This could cost $1,800-$2,000 to fix.

Upon calling the dealership, our mechanic learned this was a 'well-known problem'. Which is rather frustrating since VW settled a class action lawsuit for leaky sunroofs in 2010.

Also, we live in Seattle so not fixing this isn't an option.
