heater does not work on passenger side

VW is aware of defects of these cheap parts. Online forums suggest more issues then just the 2013 which has a 120k 10yr extended warranty. It is the exact same part exact same failure but their customer service position is "tough luck." Extended warranty I purchased will not cover it because they know there is a manufacture defect with these cores. The TSB went out June 2016 VW should be thankful for customers taking time to report failures and set up a stream line process to collect data and reimburse. Instead they put up as much resistance as possible. I will be reporting to the NHTSA. I am also going to request reimbursement. The failed core is the same issue that is affecting the 2013.

Passat SE 2.5L I5

I bought this because I wanted to branch away from the Camry. I regret it in every way. After 100 miles, the heater just stopped working. I took it to the dealer and they replaced a component, but it took 7 DAYS! The second time the heater stopped working was a few months later. It was 38 degrees. They replaced it again...after 6 MORE DAYS!!! I hope the heater goes out once more. That will make it a lemon.
