temperature gauge is inaccurate

It's 51 degrees outside. My Passat says that is 76 degrees. Am I the only person who notices a problem? The dealer replaced the part once, but it hasn't helped. I'm so sick of the piece of crap. What ever happened to "German Engineering"?
