Passat S 1.8L

I bought this vehicle with 44,000 miles on it. Was beautiful, and car fax seemed clean. It was freezing cold, with ice on the roads, so seat warmers were definitely a plus . I never even turned on the AC. One day in March, the car had been in a hot parking lot, and I turned on the AC and nothing, only warm air. The car fax had AC checked prior to me buying, and I even called the servicing dealership in Arizona before I bought it and they said nothing had been wrong. I took it to the Toyota dealer here in Santa Fe that I bought the vehicle from, and they had me pay to charge it with freon and a marker dye. About a month later, I pulled into my garage after using the AC to cool down the interior-I had just been in a store, hot blacktop in parking lot, black car - so very hot. I drove home about 2 miles, AC on,and when I pulled into my garage, I heard an incredibly loud explosion as if I had driven over a paint can! It was as if an air compressor hose had been punctured. I immediately turned off the vehicle and exited, was scared to death, and could hear and smell something coming from under the hood. I took it back to the dealer that had charged it with freon about a month earlier and they couldn't find any problem except that the freon was a little bit low. After reading online, I figured that the expansion valve blew off freon and since it boils at such a low temp, it makes an explosive sound when it hits ambient air temperature. The dealer once again filled it, added paint marker, as they had done the first time, yet there was no paint showing anywhere on the engine compartment of the vehicle from the nearly 1 minute explosive sound. Right now, it works, I'm hoping it stays working, and have fingers crossed!

Dear sir , I had serviced my Volkswagen Passat car Reg no : KL 08 AW 50 50 ON DATE : 16 th january 2015 for a bill amount “service cost 2,46,000/- ” And shortly after I received the car after service the air conditioning stopped working . I would like to point out that I always service my car at the authorized dealership run by EVM Motors Eranakulam. Subsequently I contacted the service centre ( Mr Midhun ) and I was asked to bring the car over to the service centre . I would like to point out that I live in Thrissur and I have to travel around 80 Kms to reach the service centre. Once the people at the service centre looked at the car they found out there was something wrong with the AC but they were not able to say what the problem was as there was no proper equipment to diagnose the problem at the service station ( I wonder why ) , and the sent me back telling me to come back after a few days , I again sent my car to the service centre after a few days, as I had not heard back from them since my visit to the service centre . But I was told that they still don’t have the facility to repair the air conditioning . I was told the service centre executive will contact me once there is anything to say in the matter on or before 4th march 2015 as I had not heard from them since I called up the executive and asked about the status and I was told quite rudely that there is no way they can repair it in the dealer ship and I was asked to take it to some other service centre which has the necessary facilities “ how ever their repairs will not be covered under my warranty ”.

There are few things I want to clarify before I resort to further measures. 1. My car’s Air conditioning was working fine before I gave it for servicing and problems started showing only after it was handed back to me 2. Why is that the authorized service dealer saying the don’t have the equip ment to service my car , if so why is it even a dealer in the first place ? 3. The executive is not updating or advising me properly , and taking too long to get in touch with me if then is it possible to get in touch with a more serious person who is interested in doing his job rather than fooling and fleecing customers .

The car’s air conditioning was perfectly good when I gave it for service, should I pay for some neglect made by the servicing agency ?

And why is it that the service centre always saying they don’t have necessary equipment to service the car. Who will cover the extra expenses I had to incur for sending my car up and down multiple times to the service centre and return empty handed . I have been servicing my car a EVM MOTORS ever since I bought my car , and this experience makes me feel so cheated and fooled and taken advantage off , may be customer loyalty and good will doesnt mean as much as to them as the say it does . I have expressed these concerns to the executive and have had no positive results Also find attached my previous service bill and cash receipt. I fervently hope you can do better, Sincerely For Joby Raphel ( +91 9446090016 ) Rithun francis ( +91 9744043210)
