Passat TDI SEL 2.0L Turbo Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,200 miles

After having the heater core replaced due to premature blockage, which included a full coolant replacement, the thermostat stopped working less than 100 miles from the dealership. This job should not cost as much as it does, in a traditionally-made car- but the thermostat in this car is in the middle of the engine behind the radiator , to reach it the fascia, headlamps, radiator and peripheral components all need to be removed to access it. Again, it’s an expensive part that costs a fortune to replace. There is no consideration on the part of repair or customer expense on the part of CW, they’re making things they are easy to assemble, not to maintain.
