10/3 I parked with the engine on. The airbag light comes on without a cause. I shut ignition off, turn it back on, airbag light stays on, Front Assist Error, Airbag ERROR, and no function to any of the 12 buttons on steering wheel and no horn.
Clicking/grinding/dialing metallic noises on turning the steering wheel which are getting worse.
The clock spring is broken!!!
Many cars affected by this, yet I can't find a recall mentioning this or a repair campaign for my '16 Passat.
