Had numerous electrical problems with this vehicle. Last time I had the 3rd row power seat fixed for almost $200.

To replace the driver seat back rest which simply stopped moving it would cost another $1650- just for the back rest, when I know that the faulty TIPM, totally integrated power module is at fault. (the vehicle sometimes won't start, random alert bells but no signal on dash, open doors even though no one touched a button, windows intermittently won't go up, fail to shift gears, ghost symptoms of opening doors and liftgate - it is scary.) currently the vehicle is in the shop for power locks not responding and all lights being on inside, after returning to the vehicle- vehicle starts fine but will not open any locks doors- have to open all manually). VW says they can't figure out why- I tel them, because it is the TIPM box or its relays- why do they close their eyes to the truth and endanger people's lives. some people's van door opened while on the highway!!! ours only opened the liftgate. Good thing our Fido gets strapped in, huh??? Sorry for the grit. At this point I expect VW to stand behind their product. Chrysler allegedly made the tim, was sued and lost the case one the faulty product, but VW is still acting as if in the dark and so endangering their customers. I'm not driving mine again, until I see it fixed. The real issue, not just the symptoms.
